Nostalgia trip around the school

Misc Posted on Mon, August 15, 2011 22:45:41

The Morrisonian Club has kindly offered to open up the school buildings to us on the Saturday afternoon for a nostalgic tour around the school.

What does the inside of the staff room look like?
Are your initials still on that bench in Memorial Hall?
Which teachers room would you most like/hate to see again?
Are there actually any books in the library anymore?
Is there still a cupboard full of fruit flies?
Where do they keep the tartan paint and long stands?

All these questions and more will be answered! Let me know if you’re interested and I‘ll firm up the details.

Morrisonian AGM

Misc Posted on Mon, August 15, 2011 22:37:06

On the morning of 17 September, why not go along to the school for the Morrisonian Club AGM. Tell them what you’d like from the club, help coordinate and organise future reunions around the world.

Tea, coffee and lunch provided. Approx 11am to 1pm. Email your interest to so they can get an idea of numbers for catering.

Hello There anyone who remembers me from days of Dalmhor House! I only attended Morrisons for a couple of years, but have fond memories of my brief time there. Shocked to see there are photos of me still in existence. Sorry can’t make it, currently working abroad, but would love to get back in touch with everyone. As Ben said, maybe next time!!
Have a good one. Neil Dey

Where to stay

Accommodation Posted on Tue, August 09, 2011 20:31:02

So obviously there is the Hydro itself to stay in. Apparently they have stopped their condition that you have to stay on a DBB basis and even if it is fully booked one day doesn’t mean that it stays this way. Sources tell me that level of bookings fluctuate quite a lot. The Hydro has the usual hotel rooms but also has lodges that can be rented on a weekly or 3 day weekend basis.

The Hydro also owns the Murraypark hotel which is a short walk from the Hydro itself and a bit cheaper

Two B&Bs that I know of and come highly recommended are

Yann’s – actually a lovely ‘restaurant with rooms’. Owned and run by ex-Morrisonian Shari Taylor, Yann’s is actually old Glenearn boarding house

Merlindale – a few houses up from Yanns

However, there are many many other B&Bs and hotels in Crieff to suit all tastes and budgets,en,SCH1,1379/waitCount,1/result.html;jsessionid=0a0202895bcd49dbe481d3b64764ad3dece7b86943b6.e38Mc30Oc3eLc40Mah4Lax0Na3uKe0?topNav=1&season=at1&ref=1&langId=en&r=RGN908vs&region.x=69&curr=GBP&region.y=16&s=0

HI All,

Alas, I am working on the 17th September, so will not be able to join you in Crieff. I hope you all have a great time, haven’t aged considerably since I last saw you, and that we will all meet again in another 10 years (or maybe even sooner.)

Well done Gail for organising.

Enjoy, Ben Cluley.

Hiya. I will try to bid for the weekend off, but won’t know until August. Can I pay up then? Look forward to seeing everyone, Ben C.
